BMW Brings Back the 3 series Touring (318i Touring, 340 Msport Touring, M3 Touring)

For the first time since the E46, the 3 series will again come in touring configuration. BMW Philippines, launches the the 318i Touring, 340i Msport Touring, and the M3 touring

The 318i touring will come with BMW's 4-cylinder, 2.0L B48 engine, the same as the 318i sedan. It should put out 156hp and 250Nm of torque. It comes with 18inch wheels, BMW's Hifi loudspeaker system, electrically adjustable seats

The 340i Msport will come with BMW's 3.0L, 6-cylinder B58 engine. Currently, we don't have information on the output but if it's the same as what they get overseas, it should put out close to 370hp and 500Nm of torque. It comes with 19-inch wheels, Msport brakes adaptive LED headlights, shadowline trims and more aggressive Msport bumpers.

The M3 touring will come with the high performance version of the B58, the 3.0L, 6 cylinder S58 which should put out 510hp and 650Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8 speed transmission. The new grille has definitely grown on me as I think it was the most attractive among the 3. It comes with an exhaust system with electronically controlled flaps, 19/20in wheels and all the performance upgrades that you get on the M3 sedan.

All models come standard with an 8 speed automatic gearbox, a 14.9inch infotainment screen and a 12.3in instrument cluster, applecarplay and android auto and a wireless charging tray.

BMW 340i Msport Touring: P5,890,000
BMW M3 Touring: P10,490,000

Why do people lower their cars?

Why do people lower their cars? This is a question often asked by non-car enthusiasts. “ To improve the car’s performance, so I can take corners flatter ” –this is the usual response. But what they really mean is. “ Who cares if I lose a tooth every time I hit a pothole at 60mph, I want my car to look good " I haven’t done a scientific survey but I'm pretty sure that 70% of the time, people lower their cars for looks. There are obvious trade-offs but the car will look sportier, long er and wider once it’s lowered. If you plan to upgrade to bigger wheels, lowering the car becomes essential as putting 17in or bigger wheels on a non-lowered car will give the car a “lifted” look. Case in point below:   19in wheels on a non-lowered car Same wheels, same car but it doesn’t look like it’s on jack stands this time. How do I drive a lowered car:  You’ll find that driving a lowered car requires a new set of skills that they probably won’t teach you at your local driving ...

It also appears to have air suspension, at least from what i can tell visually ( there was no english spec sheet at the time of this writing)   The T3 has a pretty innovative steering system which can rotate the wheels in different directions and allows it to achieve a very tight turning raduis or even to rotate in place -A useful feature in tight off road situations.   When you open...
